Be careful what you wish for...

On Wednesday and Thursday, it was 60 degrees and gorgeous here. Restaurants actually put out tables for people to eat outside.

However, my April Fool's Day joke for my mom was that it was supposed to turn cold and blizzardy this weekend. She fell for it, was promptly "April Fooled", and we laughed about how lovely the weather actually was.

Last night, a giant windstorm came through. I woke up to this:

It's hard to see with my camera's too-long shutter speed, but the streaks in the lower left corner are - you guessed it - snow. The clouds are dumping the cold flakes, and the wind continues to blow at gale force levels.

Serves me right for April Fooling my own mother.
